General Information - Convocation

 

Convocation 2021 of University of Allahabad is scheduled to be held on 08th November, 2021.

 

Venue of Convocation and timing - University of Allahabad at 10:00 AM

 

All Hon’ble members of Executive Council, Hon’ble members of Academic Council, PhD degree recipients and medal recipients are requested to attend the Convocation Rehearsal on 01st November, 2021 (Monday) at 11 AM in the Senate Hall of University of Allahabad.

Important Notice about Convocation kit and I-card distribution

 

All medalists and PhD degree recipients of session 2018-19 and 2019-20 are invited to attend the convocation function.

 

(A)   Important Information

 

1)

No one (including Students and Faculty members of the University) is allowed to use mobile phones and cameras inside the venue of Convocation. On the day of Convocation, Faculty members and students are required to not carry mobile phones and cameras with them.

 

2)

Students can request for selected photographs of the Convocation function after the program. Soft copy of photographs will be sent through email.

(B)   Information for the Medalists and PhD degree recipients

 

1)

All medalists and PhD degree recipients are required to register themselves and deposit the Convocation fee (Rs-500/- only) through the University website (https://www.allduniv.ac.in/student/pay-fees)

 

2)

Last date of registration for Convocation is 31st October, 2021.

 

3)

Before registering for convocation, Students are required to check their names in the list of medalists/PhD degree recipients and if their name is present in the list then submit the registration form and required fee in online mode.

 

4)

The distribution of Ph. D. degrees to scholars is scheduled from 25th October. 2021 to 27th October, 01st to 03rd and 06th November 2021 in the offices of concerned Deans in working hours i.e. 09.00 A.M. to 05.00 P.M. The following faculty members of the respective faculties have been nominated by the Competent Authority to facilitate and coordinate the distribution of Ph. D. degrees to scholars.

Above named faculty members will coordinated and facilitate the distribution of degrees.

 

5)

For collection of PhD degree, students are required to bring one id proof (in original) and copy of id proof, print of Convocation fee receipt and submitted convocation registration form.

 

6)

Medalists and PhD recipients can collect their convocation kit from the office of respective Dean on 25th to 27th October, 01st to 03rd and 06th November, 2021. For collection of convocation kit, students are required to bring one id proof (in original) and copy of id proof, print of Convocation fee receipt and submitted convocation registration form.

 

7)

Convocation Dress rehearsal will be held on 01 November, 2021 at 10:30 AM in Senate Hall, University of Allahabad.

 

8)

Medalists and PhD recipients are required to present in proper academic dress (as mentioned below), one id proof on the day of dress rehearsal and day of convocation.

 

9)

Medalists and PhD degree recipients are requested to regularly check the official website of the University of Allahabad for any update in information.

(C)   Academic Dress for Convocation

 

1)

For male students: White full sleeves kurta (knee length) with white payjama/ churidar.

 

2)

  • Dress code for PhD degree recipient female students : Decent white sari with red border and a blouse with half or full sleeves. Hairs to be a tied in a bun neatly.
  • Dress code for UG and PG medal recipient female students : Decent white suit(not less than knee length)with  half or full sleeves. Hairs to be a tied in a bun neatly.

 

3)

For male faculty members: Formal Off white shirt (full sleeves) with trousers.

 

4)

For female faculty members: Saree
