आज दिनांक 21.12.2018 को यूजीसी-एचआरडीसी, इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के द्वारा आयोजित पुस्तकालय विज्ञान मंे पुस्तकालय संसाधन के उपयोग एवं प्रबन्धन मंे पुस्तकालयाध्यक्षों की बदलती भूमिका विषय पर 21 दिवसीय पुनश्चर्या कार्यक्रम का समापन केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय मंे हुआ। मुख्य अतिथि इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के कुलानुशासक प्रो0 रामसेवक दुबे ने अपने सम्बोधन मंे पुनश्चर्या कार्यक्रम की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। विशिष्ट अतिथि विश्वविद्यालय के विधि विभाग के पूर्व अध्यक्ष एवं पूर्व पुस्तकालय प्रभारी प्रो0 एच0एन0 तिवारी ने पुस्तकोे की महत्ता पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि पुस्तकों का कोई विकल्प नहीं है तथा बदलते तकनीकी दौर मंे भी पुस्तकें प्रासंगिक हैं। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करते हुए यूजीसी-एचआरडीसी के निदेशक प्रो0 आर0 के0 सिंह ने सभी प्रतिभागियों से पुनश्चर्या कार्यक्रम के दौरान होने वाली कठिनाइयों पर विचार साझा किया और बेहतर व्यवस्था की प्रशंसा की। कार्यक्रम के संयोजक विश्वविद्यालय के पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष डा0 बी0 के0 सिंह ने कार्यक्रम की संक्षिप्त विवरणिका प्रस्तुत की तथा अतिथियों व प्रतिभागियों का स्वागत एवं धन्यवाद ज्ञापन किया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डा0 सत्यव्रत शुक्ल ने किया। इस पुनश्चर्या कार्यक्रम मंे देश के विभिन्न प्रान्तों से पचास से अधिक प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया।
Today 21.12.2018, the valedictory session of the 21-day refresher program on the changing role of librarians in the access and management of library resources in Library Science organized by UGC-HRDC, University of Allahabad , was held at the Central Library. Professor Ramsewak Dubey, the Chief Guest, and Proctor, University of Allahabad, highlighted the need for a refresher program in his address. Prof. H. N. Tiwari, former HOD, Law and Former Library Incharge Special Guest, emphasized the importance of books and said that there is no substitute for books. Presiding over the program, UGC-HRDC Director, Prof. RK Singh shared the views on the difficulties during the refresher program and praised the better system. Dr. BK Singh, Librarian and convener of the program presented a brief about the program and welcomed the guests and participants and thanked them. The program was anchored by Dr. Satyavrat Shukla. More than fifty participants participated in this refresher program from various provinces of the country.
आज दिनांक 12.01.2018 को केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय एवं इन्फलिबनेट के सहयोग से सीनेट हाल,इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय में शोध गंगा एवं एन्टीप्लेगरिज्म पर एक दिवसीय जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया कार्यक्रम का उदघाटन प्रो0 आर0एल0हांगलू, कुलपति इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा किया गया उन्होने अपने उदबोधन मे राष्ट्र के निर्माण में शोध की उपयोगिता पर प्रकाश डाला और बताये कि इस तरह के कार्यक्रम के आयोजन से विश्वविद्यालय शैक्षणिक वातावरण में नवीन उर्जा का संचार होता है कार्यक्रम के मुख्य वक्ता श्री मनोज कुमार के0 वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक, इन्फिलिबनेट, गाॅधीनगर, गुजरात ने अपने तीन धण्टे के उदबोधन में बताया कि विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग से प्राप्त अनुदेशों के क्रम में शोध गंगा के वेबसाईट पर सभी शोध प्रदिवेदनों को अपलोड करना अनिवार्य है शोध गंगा की वेबसाईट पर लगभग एक लाख सतहत्तर हजार शोध प्रतिवेदन अपलोड हो चुके है इन्होने शोध गंगा वेबसाईट से कोई भी पाठक किस प्रकार शोध प्रतिवेदनों को खोज कर डाउन लोड कर सकता है उसके बारे में भी विस्तार से बताये। कार्यक्रम के दूसरे चरण में इन्होने उपलब्ध महत्वपूर्ण एण्टीप्लेगरिज्म साफ्टवेयर के बारे में चर्चा किया तथा विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग द्वारा इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय को निःशुल्क प्राप्त उरकुण्ड एण्टीप्लेगरिज्म साफ्टवेयर के बारे में विस्तार से चर्चा किया इन्होने यह बताया कि इस साफ्टवेयर से किस प्रकार प्लेगरिज्म की जाॅच की जाती है अनेक उदाहरणों द्वारा इन्होने इस तथ्य को प्रतिभागियों के सम्मुख रखा। कार्यक्रम में विश्वविद्यालय के 700 से अधिक शिक्षकों एवं शोधार्थियों द्वारा प्रतिभाग किया गया कार्यक्रम का संचालन एवं अतिथियों का स्वागत डा0 बी0के0सिंह, पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष द्वारा किया गया।
Today i.e. 12-01-2018 Central Library of University of Allahabad and INFLIBNET, Gandhinagar, Gujarat Jointly organised a user awareness programme on Shodhganga and Anti Plagiarism (Urkund) Prof. R.L. Hangloo, Vice-Chancellor of University of Allahabad inaugurated the programme. He highlighted the roll of research in the National Development and higher education and emphasised that such type of events provide new energy in research and academic environment of the University. Shri Manoj Kumar K, Senior Scientist of INFLIBNET Centre, was the resource person of this programme. He said that as per guide lines of U.G.C. submission of soft copies of theses is mandatory on Shodhganga portal and Draft policy of UGC is circulated. More than 1,77,000 (one lakh seventy seven thousand) theses have already being uploaded on the portal of Shodhganga for free access. He explained in detail how to search and download the theses which are available on Shodhganga portal for research and learning. In the second session Mr. Kumar highlighted the various tools used for research and anti plagiarism software. He discussed in detail the URKUND, Anti plagiarism software which is available to University of Allahabad through University Grant Commission free of cost. Mr. Kumar pointed out the salient features of URKUND and explained how we can check plagiarism through this package with suitable example. More than 700 Teachers and Students of University of Allahabad participated the event. Dr. B.K. Singh University Librarian coordinated the programme and welcomed the participant and guest.
three days (23rd to 25th Jan. 2017) Book Exhibition was inaugurated by Prof.R.L.Hangloo, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Allahabad at 10.30 A.M. today on the First Floor of the Central Library of the University of Allahabad. All the empanelled 27 publishers and suppliers of the University of Allahabad Library System have put up their stalls in the Exhibition and are displaying the latest publications of the reputed publishers i.e. Sage, Oxford University Press, Elsevier, Springer, Cambridge University Press, Taylor and Fransis, Primus, Manohar, Pentagon etc. The V.C. highlighted the importance of books in acquiring knowledge, particularly in the institutions of higher education. He also said that such exhibition help teachers, students and research scholars in selecting best books of their area of interest under one roof. On this occasion Prof. K.S. Mishra, Prof. R.S. Pandey, Prof. Heramb Chaturvedi, Prof. R.S. Dubey, Dr. Bhaskar Jha, Prof. R.K. Singh, Prof. R.K.P. Singh, Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Prof. B.N. Singh, Prof. N.B. Singh, Dr. Lalsa Yadav, Dr. Surya Narayan Singh, Prof. Rashmi Kumar, Prof. Anuradha Agrawal etc. were present.
In this exhibition opportunity has been provided to authors from Allahabad city and neighbouring areas to exhibit their own published books.
The exhibition is open on all these three days for teachers, students and research scholars for selecting the books required for their study and research.
Central Library, University of Allahabad in collaboration with Sage Publications organised a symposium on “The changing dynamics of social sciences research” on 07th March 2016 at Senate Hall, University of Allahabad. Sage is the one of the leading publication of the world, publishing more than 800 journals and above 800 books in social sciences, humanities, business, science and technology etc. Mr. Vivek Mehra, MD & CEO, Sage India delivered the keynote address. In his address, he highlighted the publications of sage and key issues involved in the social sciences research. Mr. Stephen Barr, MD & President, Sage International was the Guest of honour and resource person. In his address, he highlighted the changes that are taken place in the social sciences research and the initiatives taken by the Sage in this regard. Prof R. L. Hangloo, Vice-Chancellor of the University presided the symposium. In his presidential remark, he appealed to the faculty members and researchers to do the quality research as per International standards and the demand of the society. He also suggested to apply latest tools and techniques in the research. Dr. Sarvajit Mukherjee from Dept. of English & Modern European Languages welcomed the guests and participants. Dr. B.K. Singh, Librarian (Officiating) coordinated the programme and presented a vote of thanks to the guests and participants. Around 300 faculty members and research scholars attended the symposium.
दिनांक 07 मार्च 2016 को सीनेट हाल में इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय एवं सेज प्रकाशन की सहभागिता से एक विचार गोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया। सेज प्रकाशन सामाजिक विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में विश्व के अग्रणी प्रकाशनों में से एक है, श्री विनोद मेहरा, प्रबन्ध निदेशक ने अपने प्रारम्भिक उद्भोदन में सेज प्रकाशन के बारे में चर्चा किये, साथ ही साथ सामाजिक विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में हो रहे शोध की जानकारी से अवगत कराये, श्री स्टीफेन बार प्रबन्ध निदेशक सेज इण्टरनेश्नल ने अपने उद्भोदन में सामाजिक विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में हो रहे शोध में बदलाव की चर्चा किये और उन्होने बताया कि सेज प्रकाशन इस दिशा में क्या क्या कदम उठाये है। कार्यकम की अध्यक्षता कुलपति प्रो0 आर0 एल0 हांगलु द्वारा किया गया उन्होने अपने अध्यक्षीय उद्भोदन में विश्वविद्यालय के अघ्यापकों एवं शोधार्थियों को गुणवत्तापूर्वक शोध करने के लिए अपील किये, साथ ही साथ गुणवत्तापूर्वक शोध से समाज पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव की चर्चा किये, डा0 सर्वजीत मुखर्जी, ने अतिथियों, अध्यापकों एवं शोधार्थियों का स्वागत किये, कार्यकम का संचालन डा0 बी0के0 सिहं, पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष (कार्यवाहक) द्वारा किया गया उन्होने धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया, लगभग 300 संकाय सदस्य एवं शोधार्थि इस कार्यक्रम में सम्मिलित हुए।
