Proving as a distinguished centre for training the teachers and successfully running of the academic frontiers in higher education, UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Allahabad on the eve of "Inaugural session’, successfully conducted its 120th Orientation Course on 25th July, 2018. The occasion was graced by the valuable presence of chief guest Prof. M.P. Dubey, Hon’ble Ex-Vice-Chancellor, UPRTOU university, Allahabad, Prof. R.K.Singh,honourable Director - Human Resource Development Centre, UoA. and Prof. Ashish Saxena, Coordinator of the 120th Orientation Course, Human Resource Development Centre, UoA.
 
In all around 30 participants across the disciplines covering various Universities/Colleges of the country actively attended the valedictory session. Prof. Ashish Saxena, Coordinator of the 120th Orientation Course welcomed the dignitaries with the floral bouquet and followed by the outline of the said course. He briefed about the expectations and outline of the ongoing  28 days academic event and the rigorous interdisciplinary framework. Prof. R.K.Singh gave the formal welcome speech. He emphasized the relevance of orientation and motivated the participants for successful completion of the said course with sincerity and commitment . The chief guest of the event, Prof. M.P. Dubey, hon’ble Ex-Vice-Chancellor and political scientist, spoke at length about the theoretical and constitutional aspects of secularism. He highlighted the emergence of secularism at global level and the relationship between State and Religion. He discussed the scope and limitations of secularism in Indian context. His concern was for surfacing the gap between  legal and empirical level. The session was followed by interactive session with participants. Inaugural session ended with formal vote of thanks by  Prof Ashish Saxena, Head of Sociology. AU. The event was duly supported by the sincere staff of UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Allahabad.

UGHRDC, University of Allahabad 7th Summer School in Social Sciences.
इलाहाबाद  विश्वविद्यालय में 21 जून 2018 से चल रहे सातवाॅ समर स्कूल समाजिक विज्ञान का आज 11 जुलाई 2018 को समापन समारोह सम्पन्न हुआ। इसमें देश के विभिन्न प्रदेशो के 41 शिक्षकों नक भाग लिया। समापन समारोह के मोके पर राजर्षि टंडन मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय के पूर्व कुलपति प्रो0 एम0पी0 दुबे जी मुख्य अतिथि के रूप मे समाजिक विज्ञान में शोध में आधुनिक विधितन्न्न पर व्याख्यान दिया। उन्होने सामाजिक विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में शोध को समाज की नितान्त आवश्यकताओं से जोडकर किये जाने की बात की । विकासशील देश में अर्थतन्त्र मजबुत न होने के कारणों की बात की । प्रो0 दुबे ने कहा कि आर्थिक बृध्दि के विकास का होना, विकास नहीं है जब तक कि किसी देश में मानव संसाधनों का विकास न हो तब तक वह विकसित देश नहीं कहलायेगा। विकास सदैव समता के साथ होना, विचारों की स्वतन्सत्रता, पर्यावरण की सुरक्षा करते हुये विकास करना, बुनियादी शिक्षा पर अधिक ध्यान देना, महिला अधिकारों की रक्षा करना तथा लोगों की जगरूकता ही विकास के मानको को तय करता है। इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के निदेशक प्रो0 आर0के0 सिंह ने समाज के बदलाव में शिक्षकों की बडी भूमिका होने की बात कहीं। समरस्कूल के कोर्स कोआडिनेटर प्रो0 ए0आरर0 सिद्दीकी ने मनुष्य को सामाजिक पूॅजी के रूप में होने को बताया और कहा कि समाजिक विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में होने वाली शोध प्रविधियां ही किसी देश की समाजिक प्रतिरूपों की व्याख्या करती है।  समाजिक प्रतिरूपों की जानकारी से ही भविष्य में समाजिक विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में शोध विधियों का निर्धारण किया जा सकजा है। इस समारोह का संचालन समाजशास्त्र विभाग के विभागाध्यक्ष  प्रो0 आशीष सक्सेना ने भारतीय समाज की विशेषताओं पर व्याख्यान दिया एवं अतिथियों का धन्यवाद ज्ञापन किया।

Today on 10th of July, 2018 manglam-Half yearly Journal of Humanities & Social Sciences, Published by Manglam Sewa samati, Allahabad – was released by Professor Avinash C. Pandey, Head, Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (Ex. Vice Chancellir, Bundelkhand University, UP after his lecture on Intellectual property to the 7th summer school participants at the UGC Humam Resource Development Centre. He was joined by Professor A.R.Siddiqui, Programme Coordinator of the 7thsummer school in Social science, Dr. Dinkar Tripathi, Editor of Manglam Jurnal, Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Qazi, University of Kashmir and Dr Rabindra Kumar Verma, Manipal University Jaipur, Rajasthan. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Avinash C. Pandey and  Prof. A.R.Siddiqui conveyed their best wishes to the editor of the Journal. They wished all success to the Journal. Dr. Tripathi the editor of the journal , said that the journal Publishes the research of very high quality. In fact, there is a review board which thoroughly reviews each paper prior publishing. He thake all who attended the journal release function especially Prof. A.R. Siddiqui for providing his support, guidance and cooperation for making the journal and its release fuction a success.

UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Allahabad on the eve of ‘Inaugural session’, successfully initiated its 7th Summer School Training Course on 21st June, 2018. The occasion was graced by the valuable presence of chief guest Prof. K.N.Singh , Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, UPRTOU, Allahabad, Prof. A. R. Siddqui, Coordinator - Summer School, HRDC, UoA.  and Prof. Ashish Saxena, Head, Department of Sociology, UoA.

In all around 45 participants covering various Universities/Colleges of the country attended the inaugural session. At the outset, Prof. A. R. Siddqui, Coordinator - Summer School, welcomed the dignitaries with the floral bouquet and followed by the outline of the said course. He emphasized the inter-disciplinary nature of learning. The chief guest of the event,  Prof. K.N.Singh , Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, UPRTOU discussed the issues on higher education and the need for societal approach towards development. He also spoke about time-space framework along with the need for nationalistic insights and development. He emphasized the need for critical learning and thinking. The participants also interacted during the session. The programme was conducted by Prof. Ashish Saxena, Head, Department of Sociology and followed by formal vote of thanks by him. He briefed the outline and expectations of the said course. The programme ended with national anthem.

At the outset, Prof. Ashish Saxena, Coordinator of the 117thOrientation Course welcomed the dignitaries with the floral bouquet and followed by the outline of the said course. He briefed about the overall outline of the 28 days academic event and the rigorous interdisciplinary framework. Prof. R.K.Singh gave the formal welcome speech. He emphasized the relevance of orientation and the congratulated the participants for successful completion of the said course. The chief guest of the event, Prof. Raja Ram, Yadav Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, canvassed his journey of success . He narrated the need for holistic approach towards attainment of academic goals.                                                  मानव संसाधन विकास ए राष्ट्र निर्माण एवं शिक्षा के विकास में शिक्षकों की भूमिका अहम

 इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के UGC-HRD के द्वारा संचालित तीसरे विशिष्ट शीतकालीन पुनश्चर्या कामेश्वर नाथ सिंह ने अपने वक्तव्य में कहा कि मानव संसाधन का विकास शिक्षकों के सार्थक योगदान के बिना सम्भव नहीं है। भारत में विकास की सारी संभावनायें है । अज्ञानता एवं निरक्षरता को दूर करने की आवश्यकता है। मानव संसाधन को स्वरूप देने में शिक्षकों का गुरूतर दायित्व है। शिक्षक स्वयं को सक्षम बनकर राष्ट्र निर्माण में अपनी व्यापक भूमिका सृजित कर सकते हैं। प्रो0 के0एन0सिंह ने कहा कि संसाधन कहीं  अन्यत्र वाह्य जगत में न होकर मनुष्य के मस्तिष्क और ज्ञान में समाहित है। मस्तिष्क का विकास करने में शिक्षकों की भूमिका बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण है। इस अवसर पर निदेशक़ यू0जी0सी0-एच0आर0डी0 केन्द्र इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय प्रो0 आर0के0 सिंह ने कहा कि शिक्षकों को अपनी क्षमताओं को विकसित करना होगा उन्हीं के प्रयासों से ही एक विकसित भारत का सपना साकार होगा। भारत पूरे विश्व में अपने कौशल के लिये जाना जाता है। भारत में शिक्षा के विकास से परिवर्तन सम्भव है। कोर्स समन्वयक, प्रो0 ए0आर0सिद्दीकी, भूगोल विभाग ने कहा कि भारत में मनुष्य सामाजिक पूँजी के रूप में है। मनुष्य अपने ज्ञान और श्रम से विकास की सारी संभावनाओं को प्राप्त कर सकता है। डॉ0 अश्वजीत चौधरी ने कुलपति, राजर्षि टंडन मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय, इलाहाबाद प्रो0 कामेश्वर नाथ सिंह तथा निदेशक यू0जी0सी0-एच0आर0डी0केन्द्र इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय, प्रो0 आर0के0 सिंह के साथ-साथ अन्य सभी को आभार और धन्यवाद व्यक्त किया।

UGC-HRDC University of Allahabad conducted its Valedictory session for the 118th Orientation course on 1st February 2018.The course was attended by around 50 teacher participants across states of various university and colleges.  The program was blessed with the presence of Dean, Research development AU prof. R K P Singh, Director, HRDC prof. R.K Singh and course coordinator prof. Ashish Saxena. The event incorporated by lecture by Dr.khan, Dr. Subhash, Dr.  Kaushik and other scientists on water concerns and followed by distribution of certificate to participants. छात्रों में चिन्तनशीलता विकसित करना अध्यापक का कर्तव्य सर्वोपरि
 
इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय स्थित मानव संसाधन विकास केन्द्र (एकेडेमिक स्टाफ कालेज) में 118 वाॅ ओरियन्टेशन कार्यक्रम आज दिनाॅक 05 जनवरी, 2017 को प्रारम्भ हुआ । मास पर्यन्त चलने वाले इस कार्यक्रम में देश के विभिन्न उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों से आये शिक्षक प्रतिभाग कर रहे हैं। 
 
उद्घाटन सत्र में नेहरू ग्राम भारती विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो0 पारस नाथ पाण्डेय ने शिक्षकों को संबोधित किया। प्रो0 पाण्डेय ने अपने उद्बोधन में शिक्षकों के समाज के प्रति गुरूतर दायित्व को रेखाकिंत किया। उन्होंने छात्रों में चिन्तनशीलता को विकसित करने के लिये शिक्षकों का आह्वान किया। साथ ही उन्होंने यह विचार भी व्यक्त किया कि शिक्षकों को छात्रों का ज्ञानवर्द्धन करने के साथ ही साथ उनके चरित्र निर्माण के दायित्व को भी निभाने की आवश्यकता है। 
 
इस कार्यक्रम के उद्घाटन सत्र का संचालन डा0 हरिवंश सिंह, विधि विभाग ने किया। आभार ज्ञापन के दायित्व का निर्वाह प्रो0 आर0के0सिंह, निदेशक, मानव संसाधन विकास केन्द्र ने किया।

The occasion was graced by the valuable presence of Prof. K.S.Mishra, Dean Faculty of Arts, UoA and Prof. R.K.Singh, honourable Director -Human Resource Development Centre, UoA. In all around 60 participants across the disciplines covering various Universities/Colleges of the country actively attended the inaugural session. At the outset, Prof. Ashish Saxena, Head, Dept. of Sociology and Coordinator of the 117th Orientation Course welcomed the dignitaries and followed by the outline of the said course. He emphasized on two-way learning and participation as well as rigorous interdisciplinary interface. Prof. R.K.Singh addressed the participants with the sustenance of the quality and standards of such academic programme. He emphasized upon the value learning with sincerity and commitment. It was followed by the introduction-cum-interactive session by the participants.  The chief guest of the event, Prof. K.S. Mishra lucidly narrated the forms of virus as bottlenecks in higher education and challenges faced by the teaching fraternity. Prof. R.K. Singh, Professor In-charge (Academic programme), AU:

COURSE ON CANCER RESEARCH BY AMERICAN CANCER BIOLOGIST PROF YONG LI & FACULTY OF BIOCHEMISTRY & BIOTECHNOLOGY IN AU UNDER THE GIAN SCHEME OF MHRD, GoI INAUGURATED

MHRD-GoI approved  Eight-day duration Course on “ Non coding RNS, Gene Polymorphisms and RNA Interference Role in Human Diseases” under the aegis of Global Initiative of Academic  Networks (GIAN) was inaugurated  at the University of Allahabad on 14th July 2017. The course is conducted by Dr. Munish Kumar, Asst. Prof Department of Biochemistry and Dr. Awadh Bihari Yadav, Asst Prof. Centre of Biotechnology. Prof Shanthy Sundaram welcomed the guests. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Prof.  Shanthy Sundaram, Prof R.K Singh, Prof. R.R Tiwari, Prof. Bechan Sharma. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor welcomed Prof. Yong Li, Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. Prof. R.K. Singh elaborated about the third chapter of GIAN in the University of Allahabad. Around one thousand programs have been conducted across the country. He told brief story of the brown pelicans in California which became extinct due to shortage of tuna fish and later on rejuvenated due to collaborative efforts. GIAN is an all inclusive initiative of Government of India which covers every academic and research initiative under the sun. Prof. R.R Tiwari gave a brief introduction of Prof. Yong Li who has published more than 80 research articles and worked extensively on mi RNAs, si RNAs, drug delivery. There are 4 modules of the course. Prof Yong Li extended his greetings to the teachers and researchers of University of Allahabad and emphasized need for the exchange of ideas. The honorable VC threw light on the fact that GIAN is a brain child of the Hon’ble President of India Pranab Mukherjee. He told that science changes every second. He discussed about the fact that in the ancient times Chinese medicines were used in India and Indians used to teach in Iran. He underscored the point that if we keep our soul clean our lives will be clean. Prof Bechan Sharma extended the vote of thanks. Prof R.K.singh, Coordinator, UoA- GIAN, thanked Prof Neelam Yadav , Director , IPS, to extend support and allow the Centre of Food Technology facilities for the entire duration of the course. The anchoring of the event was done by Dr. Ena Gupta .

 

मानव संसाधन मंत्रालय द्वारा अनुमोदित जी0आई0ए0एन0 प्रोग्राम के अन्र्तगत डा0 यांग लीए कैंसर वैज्ञानिक का सप्ताहपर्यन्त व्याख्यान

इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय को मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय द्वारा प्रदत्त ग्लोबल इनिसिएटिव आफ एकेडमिक नेटवर्क कोर्स के अन्र्तगत तीसरे कार्यक्रम का आयोजन डा0 अवध बिहारी यादवए बायोटेक्नालाजी विभाग एवं डा0 मुनीश पाण्डेयए बायो कमेस्ट्री विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में आज दिनाक 14.07.2017 को सेन्टर आफ फूड टेक्नालाजी में प्रातः 11:30 बजे किया गया जिसका उदघाटन इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो0 रतन लाल हाॅगलू द्वारा किया गया। आठ दिवसीय (जुलाई 14 से 21, 2017) इस प्रोग्राम में अन्र्तराष्ट्रीय शिक्षक के रूप में प्रख्यात कैंसर वैज्ञानिक प्रो0 याॅग लीए कैंसर बायोलाजी विभाग, क्लीवलैण्ड, ओहियो, यू0एस0ए0 उपस्थित रहेगें। इस पाठ्यक्रम में वे अपने व्याख्यान एवं प्रयोगशाला से संबंधित गतिविधियों में सहभागिता करेंगे। प्रो0 याॅग ली का स्वागत करते हुये प्रो0 हाॅगलू, कुलपति  द्वारा जी0आई0ए0एन0 प्रोग्राम के बारे में बोलते हुये कहा कि इस कोर्स के माध्यम से विश्वविद्यालय के शोध छात्रों एवं छात्रों को जैविक विज्ञान के विभिन्न आयामों का सूक्ष्मता से  ज्ञान प्राप्त होगा। उन्होंने इस तरह के कोर्स विश्वविद्यालय में सदैव चलते रहें, इसके लिये सदैव तत्पर रहने की बात कही। सत्र के प्रारम्भ में बायोटेक्नोलोजी केन्द्र की अध्यक्ष, प्रो0 शान्ति सुन्दरम् ने अतिथियों का स्वागत एवं कार्यक्रम के उद्देश्यों पर प्रकाश डाला। प्रो0 आर0आर0तिवारी, अधिष्ठाता, विज्ञान संकाय ने अन्र्तराष्ट्रीय शिक्षक के रूप में पाठ्यक्रम शिक्षण हेतु पधारे सुविख्यात वैज्ञानिक प्रो0 याॅग ली का परिचय प्रस्तुत किया और उन्होंने कार्यक्रम के सफल संचालन हेतु शुभकामनाएॅ दी। प्रो0 याॅग ली ने हर्ष व्यक्त करते हुये कहा कि भारत सरकार द्वारा संचालित कार्यक्रम द्वारा उनका भारत में और इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय में आकर यहाॅ के प्राध्यापकों और शोध छात्रों से मिलने एवं अन्र्तक्रिया का सुअवसर प्राप्त हुआ। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि हम अपने ज्ञान को अध्यापको तथा शोध छात्रों के साथ कोर्स के दौरान साझा करने हेतु अति उत्साहित हैं। प्रो0 आर0के0सिंह, कोआर्डिनेटरए ग्लोबल इनिसिएटिव आफ एकेडमिक नेटवर्क ने सभी का स्वागत करते हुये कहा कि इस कोर्स से न केवल इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय  ही बल्कि अन्य शैक्षिक संस्थाओं के शोधकत्ताओं एवं प्रतिभागियों को लाभ पहुचेगा। अंत में प्रो0 बेचन शर्मा, विभागाध्यक्ष, बायोकमेस्ट्री विभाग ने उद्घाटन सत्र में उपस्थित सभी विद्वतजनों एवं प्रतिभागियों का धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया।

One Week Short Term Course on Research Methodology for PH.D Students

Human Resource Development Centre (formerly Academic Staff College),University of Allahabad is organizing the “One week short term course in Research Methodology for Ph.D Students” from 16th to 22nd December, 2016. This programme is for doctoral students who have completed one year of research after registration as a doctoral student. Interested doctoral students belonging to these field and others belonging to interdisciplinary fields with their research related to the above theme may apply along with a synopsis of their doctoral research.

The interaction programme shall be in the form of workshop/seminar. And students will get an opportunity to share their research.

All selected students are required to pay a fee of Rs. 1000/- This shall be a residential workshop. The last date of application is December 10, 2016. The date of commencement of the Programme is Tuesday, March 31, 2015. The Programme will run whole-time basis over 6 clear working days from Tuesday, March 31, 2015 to Sunday, April 05, 2015 (both dates included).

The programme will start from 10:30 a.m. on March 31, 2015 and will continue up to April 05, 2015, and the venue will be Academic Staff Colleges, Education Department Building, University of Allahabad.

Teachers of various universities and colleges are hereby informed that the Refresher Course in Digital Technology and Creative Arts is to be held in the last week of January 2015. The teachers of Digital Technology, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Mass Communication and Media Studies can apply for this course.

Similarly a multi disciplinary Refresher Course is also to be held in the last week of January 2015. The teachers from all the discipline can apply for the same for their promotion.

A Special Winter School will also be commenced from January 20, 2015. Teachers of all discipline may apply without registration fee of Rs. 500/-. This course is equivalent to one Refresher/Orientation Programme.

Multi Disciplinary Refresher Course in Information and Communication Technology will also held in the month of January 2015. Teacher participants are directed to apply at the earliest.
