इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के UGC-HRD के द्वारा संचालित तीसरे विशिष्ट शीतकालीन पुनश्चर्या कामेश्वर नाथ सिंह ने अपने वक्तव्य में कहा कि मानव संसाधन का विकास शिक्षकों के सार्थक योगदान के बिना सम्भव नहीं है। भारत में विकास की सारी संभावनायें है । अज्ञानता एवं निरक्षरता को दूर करने की आवश्यकता है। मानव संसाधन को स्वरूप देने में शिक्षकों का गुरूतर दायित्व है। शिक्षक स्वयं को सक्षम बनकर राष्ट्र निर्माण में अपनी व्यापक भूमिका सृजित कर सकते हैं। प्रो0 के0एन0सिंह ने कहा कि संसाधन कहीं अन्यत्र वाह्य जगत में न होकर मनुष्य के मस्तिष्क और ज्ञान में समाहित है। मस्तिष्क का विकास करने में शिक्षकों की भूमिका बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण है। इस अवसर पर निदेशक़ यू0जी0सी0-एच0आर0डी0 केन्द्र इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय प्रो0 आर0के0 सिंह ने कहा कि शिक्षकों को अपनी क्षमताओं को विकसित करना होगा उन्हीं के प्रयासों से ही एक विकसित भारत का सपना साकार होगा। भारत पूरे विश्व में अपने कौशल के लिये जाना जाता है। भारत में शिक्षा के विकास से परिवर्तन सम्भव है। कोर्स समन्वयक, प्रो0 ए0आर0सिद्दीकी, भूगोल विभाग ने कहा कि भारत में मनुष्य सामाजिक पूँजी के रूप में है। मनुष्य अपने ज्ञान और श्रम से विकास की सारी संभावनाओं को प्राप्त कर सकता है। डॉ0 अश्वजीत चौधरी ने कुलपति, राजर्षि टंडन मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय, इलाहाबाद प्रो0 कामेश्वर नाथ सिंह तथा निदेशक यू0जी0सी0-एच0आर0डी0केन्द्र इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय, प्रो0 आर0के0 सिंह के साथ-साथ अन्य सभी को आभार और धन्यवाद व्यक्त किया।

In all around 60 participants across the disciplines covering various Universities/Colleges of the country actively attended the valedictory session. At the outset, Prof. Ashish Saxena, Coordinator of the 117th Orientation Course welcomed the dignitaries with the floral bouquet and followed by the outline of the said course. He briefed about the overall outline of the 28 days academic event and the rigorous interdisciplinary framework. Prof. R.K.Singh gave the formal welcome speech. He emphasized the relevance of orientation and the congratulated the participants for successful completion of the said course. The chief guest of the event, Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, canvassed the management of human resource and the challenges associated with effective utilization. He narrated the mechanization of the social life and the need for retaining the traditions with rigor. He also complemented the teacher’s efforts towards the cause of nation and the linkage of the past with present and future. The event was followed by the certificate of participation to the participants by the chief guest. The participants also shared their experiences as learner’s and appreciated the diversity of academic activities. They also appreciated the homely comfort and sincerity of the team of the Academic Staff College, University of Allahabad. The valedictory session ended with formal vote of thanks by the Coordinator of the programme. Continuing the zeal for academic excellence in higher education, prestigious UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Allahabad inaugurated its 117th Orientation Course on 24th October, 2017. The occasion was graced by the valuable presence of Prof. K.S.Mishra, Dean Faculty of Arts, UoA and Prof. R.K.Singh, honourable Director -Human Resource Development Centre, UoA. In all around 60 participants across the disciplines covering various Universities/Colleges of the country actively attended the inaugural session. At the outset, Prof. Ashish Saxena, Head, Dept. of Sociology and Coordinator of the 117th Orientation Course welcomed the dignitaries and followed by the outline of the said course. He emphasized on two-way learning and participation as well as rigorous interdisciplinary interface. Prof. R.K.Singh addressed the participants with the sustenance of the quality and standards of such academic programme. He emphasized upon the value learning with sincerity and commitment. It was followed by the introduction-cum-interactive session by the participants. The chief guest of the event, Prof. K.S. Mishra lucidly narrated the forms of virus as bottlenecks in higher education and challenges faced by the teaching fraternity. He suggested the ways and means to overcome these challenges through self-corrections, ethical principles, maintaining dignified teaching practices, motivational activities etc. The session ended with formal vote of thanks by the Coordinator of the programme. COURSE ON CANCER RESEARCH BY AMERICAN CANCER BIOLOGIST PROF YONG LI & FACULTY OF BIOCHEMISTRY & BIOTECHNOLOGY IN AU UNDER THE GIAN SCHEME OF MHRD, GoI INAUGURATED
MHRD-GoI approved Eight-day duration Course on “ Non coding RNS, Gene Polymorphisms and RNA Interference Role in Human Diseases” under the aegis of Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) was inaugurated at the University of Allahabad on 14th July 2017. The course is conducted by Dr. Munish Kumar, Asst. Prof Department of Biochemistry and Dr. Awadh Bihari Yadav, Asst Prof. Centre of Biotechnology. Prof Shanthy Sundaram welcomed the guests. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Prof. Shanthy Sundaram, Prof R.K Singh, Prof. R.R Tiwari, Prof. Bechan Sharma. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor welcomed Prof. Yong Li, Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. Prof. R.K. Singh elaborated about the third chapter of GIAN in the University of Allahabad. Around one thousand programs have been conducted across the country. He told brief story of the brown pelicans in California which became extinct due to shortage of tuna fish and later on rejuvenated due to collaborative efforts. GIAN is an all inclusive initiative of Government of India which covers every academic and research initiative under the sun. Prof. R.R Tiwari gave a brief introduction of Prof. Yong Li who has published more than 80 research articles and worked extensively on mi RNAs, si RNAs, drug delivery. There are 4 modules of the course. Prof Yong Li extended his greetings to the teachers and researchers of University of Allahabad and emphasized need for the exchange of ideas. The honorable VC threw light on the fact that GIAN is a brain child of the Hon’ble President of India Pranab Mukherjee. He told that science changes every second. He discussed about the fact that in the ancient times Chinese medicines were used in India and Indians used to teach in Iran. He underscored the point that if we keep our soul clean our lives will be clean. Prof Bechan Sharma extended the vote of thanks. Prof R.K.singh, Coordinator, UoA- GIAN, thanked Prof Neelam Yadav , Director , IPS, to extend support and allow the Centre of Food Technology facilities for the entire duration of the course. The anchoring of the event was done by Dr. Ena Gupta .

One Week Short Term Course on Research Methodology for PH.D Students

Human Resource Development Centre (formerly Academic Staff College),University of Allahabad is organizing the “One week short term course in Research Methodology for Ph.D Students” from 16th to 22nd December, 2016. This programme is for doctoral students who have completed one year of research after registration as a doctoral student. Interested doctoral students belonging to these field and others belonging to interdisciplinary fields with their research related to the above theme may apply along with a synopsis of their doctoral research.
The interaction programme shall be in the form of workshop/seminar. And students will get an opportunity to share their research.
All selected students are required to pay a fee of Rs. 1000/- This shall be a residential workshop. The last date of application is December 10, 2016. Applications may be sent to email@example.com. Teachers of various universities and colleges are hereby informed that the Refresher Course in Digital Technology and Creative Arts is to be held in the last week of January 2015. The teachers of Digital Technology, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Mass Communication and Media Studies can apply for this course.
Similarly a multi disciplinary Refresher Course is also to be held in the last week of January 2015. The teachers from all the discipline can apply for the same for their promotion.
A Special Winter School will also be commenced from January 20, 2015. Teachers of all discipline may apply without registration fee of Rs. 500/-. This course is equivalent to one Refresher/Orientation Programme.
Multi Disciplinary Refresher Course in Information and Communication Technology will also held in the month of January 2015. Teacher participants are directed to apply at the earliest.
